Firearms: Handgun/Carbine "Guns 2" 17-19APR12 ATOA Spring Training Event Gulf Shores, AL This 8 hour block is an extension of Part 1. This block picks up where Part 1 ended, attendance to Part 1 is not a prerequisite. The focus continues to be blending the Officer and his equipment into a tactical system instead of components attached to a body. Teamwork, communication, counter-assault, man-down drills, malfunction reduction, gas mask usage and situational awareness are some of the topics that will be covered.
Bring any personal gear that you would wear on a raid or entry training.

Mechanical Breaching 17-19APR12 ATOA Spring Training Event Gulf Shores, AL
This 8 hour course covers a wide
variety of breaching methods as well as planning & leadership
considerations, rehearsals, breaching methods and tools, diversion
devices, training and medical recommendations and liability concerns.
The student will receive instruction on primary and secondary entry
point selection. He/she will also gain experience in
breaching different types of residential doors, residential windows,
screen doors and motor vehicles. The student will also be exposed
to shotgun breaching. At the completion of the course each student
will be able to create or improve upon an existing breaching
program within his or her unit.

Plain Clothes Carry Block 17-19APR12 ATOA Spring Training Event Gulf Shores, AL
This 8 hour block is appropriate for Protection Details, Investigations, Off Duty, etc. this block is will provide the Officer with applicable skills required when the polyester is in the closet but the threat is in your face.
If
you have a Simunition weapon that replicates
your duty weapon
you are encouraged to bring it. This block is designed for service weapons carried concealed (not
back-up weapons). If you need a concealable holster take a look at Trojan Tactical, let them know you heard about them through Lighthorse Tactical. |

Introduction
to No Date Scheduled This 8 hour block introduces the Officer to a tactical entry system that allows the Officer to read & feed the problem rather than a pre-programmed, choreographed maneuver scheme. Approaches, stacking, room clearing, team member/leader responsibilities, weapons management and mental awareness are some of the key points to this introduction to an operationally proven system.

drills with handgun. This workshop is designed for Law
Enforcement Firearms Instructors.

Patrol Officer's Counter Assault Tactics (CAT) No Date Scheduled This 8-hour block is designed to provide Patrol Officers/Deputies with range training in order to build immediate action skills to deadly threats.
